FAQ

Does WARDOGS have classes?
No fixed classes are described. Equipment and vehicle purchases define what a player can do.
Can one player perform more than one role?
Yes in principle. The developer FAQ uses a larger backpack as an example of combining medical and building equipment.
What is the best WARDOGS class?
The game uses flexible roles rather than fixed classes. This guide does not claim a tested best-role ranking; choose equipment for the task your team needs.

Season 1 progression replaces the weekend-test curve

The September 9 launch baseline changes progression intended for short beta weekends. Published cumulative XP thresholds include 35,000 at level 10, 110,000 at level 15, 250,000 at level 20 and 500,000 at level 35. These are thresholds, not XP needed for each individual level.

  • Artillery Tank: Career level 90. Heavy Tank: Driver level 35.

  • Driver: URAL level 3, Kodiak Assault level 6, Dune Buggy level 8 and Kodiak Flatbed level 10.

  • Medic: PP-19 50-round drum moves to level 29. Support: Large Hammer moves to level 8.

  • Career: Deagle moves to level 85, Sports Parachute to 35 and Large Backpack to 55.

  • BULKHEAD says seasons can use different curves and item orders. Recheck the current track rather than promising fixed unlock times.

Source status: Confirmed.

WARDOGS does not lock players into classes

According to the developer FAQ, WARDOGS has no predefined class system. Players purchase the equipment and vehicles needed for the role they want to perform on a given life.

Source status: Confirmed.

Roles supported by official examples

  • Medical support through medkits and bandages.

  • Building support through construction items.

  • Transport and logistics through ground vehicles and helicopters.

  • Armored support through tanks, including artillery capability shown in official descriptions.

  • Long-range infantry play, including the officially shown ghillie-suit sniper fantasy.

Source status: Confirmed.

Hybrid roles and backpack capacity

The FAQ says a larger backpack can let a player combine responsibilities, such as carrying both medical and building items. That makes role composition flexible, although exact capacity and item trade-offs still need live-build verification.

Source status: Unconfirmed.

Role tracks seen in community footage

Community class videos describe assault, medic, support, recon, driver and pilot as role-progress paths rather than hard class locks. The useful SEO answer is that players may search for WARDOGS classes, but the better in-game concept is role progression through the tools and actions you choose.

  • Assault is associated with rifles and direct fighting.

  • Medic centers on healing, revives and SMG-style close support.

  • Support is tied to repair, building, explosives and FOB work.

  • Recon is tied to spotting, scoped weapons and long-range support.

  • Driver and pilot roles emerge through vehicle and helicopter operation.

Why mixed kits change progression

Community transcript material highlights that a player can carry tools from more than one role path. For example, a rifle-focused player may still bring spotting equipment, medical items or a hammer. That makes the page stronger if it explains role combinations instead of only listing class names.

Source status: Unconfirmed.

No best class tier list yet

Roles are created through purchases. A useful ranking would need repeatable live-build comparisons of costs, capacity, output and objective impact. This guide provides official progression changes, not a tested class tier list.
