FAQ

Is Early Access still the next milestone?
No. Steam Early Access launched September 10. The roadmap now separates released fixes from scheduled updates and longer-term plans.
Has Season 2 launched?
The reviewed September 12 notice says Season 2 content is being worked on. It does not announce a Season 2 launch.
Is the full metagame already available?
The reviewed post-launch statement still discusses bringing the meta into the game. Persistent match-to-match cash does not prove every planned metagame system has shipped.

Roadmap status tracker

Status checked September 14, 2026. Announced work is not a released feature.

  • Steam Early Access — Completed (September 10): Steam and Team17 confirm availability. Launch is a completed milestone.

  • Launch Stability Hotfix #1 — Completed (September 10, 20:20 UTC): The official client update targeted join failures, kicks and extended queues.

  • Patch 0.11 server browser — Planned (Maintenance scheduled September 14, 08:00 UTC): Announcement verified; a completion notice was not independently verified in this review.

  • Community-server quality of life — In development (No published date): Favourites, tiered priority queues, message of the day, warmup and seeding/team controls are listed as upcoming.

  • Season 2 — In development (No published date in the reviewed update): BULKHEAD says short-term reactive fixes do not affect its Season 2 content work. This does not mean Season 2 has launched.

  • Console release — Planned (2028): The September 10 official trailer and Steam announcement give a console window, not an exact day or a crossplay commitment.

  • Complete metagame and version 1.0 — Planned (No fixed date): The September 12 economy statement still discusses bringing the meta into the game. Do not treat existing persistent cash as proof of the complete future system.

  • New map development — Planned (After launch; no date): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. A new map is named as a development focus, without a public delivery date.

  • Linux / Proton compatibility — In development (No date; not committed for September 10): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. A September 4 developer update says official Linux support is not ready for launch while Proton compatibility remains a goal.

  • Metagame and version 1.0 — In development (Across Early Access): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. Official videos describe the metagame as central to the full vision and still incomplete at Early Access launch.

September 10–14: launch, recovery and server discovery

The launch is complete; the update desk now tracks changes to the playable game. Hotfix #1 is a released update. Patch 0.11 has an announced maintenance window, with completion unconfirmed in this review. Upcoming quality-of-life requests remain separate from both.

September 11: launch retrospective and sales milestone

The official YouTube channel published Launch Day Recap at 22:30 UTC. Its description recounts the team’s launch-day experience and recovery; it is not a current service-status notice. Caption retrieval returned no usable text, so no spoken claims or transcript quotations are added here.

A separate official Steam announcement at 01:05 UTC reported 1.25 million copies sold. This is a dated developer-reported sales figure, not concurrent players or a current total.

What the source review does not prove

Steam announcements, the store, publisher page and official YouTube feed were reviewed. X could not be reliably read in this collection; no X-only claim is presented as independently confirmed. The latest matching YouTube entries were the launch trailer and recap. Updated timestamps on older videos do not make them new uploads.

Source status: Confirmed.

Season 1 launch baseline: why beta guides differ

The September 9, 22:46 UTC changelog was published before launch and is included here as the baseline. BULKHEAD says the weekend-test progression was replaced by a longer-term curve: levels 10–20 take more XP, while the curve flattens from level 35 onward.

Published cumulative XP thresholds include level 10 at 35,000, level 15 at 110,000, level 20 at 250,000 and level 35 at 500,000. These are not per-level XP costs or guaranteed playtime targets.

  • Vendor FOB cost: $2,500 → $7,500. Vendor Large Hammer: $1,600 → $2,400.

  • Artillery Tank moves to Career level 90; Heavy Tank moves to Driver level 35.

  • Voice reliability, helicopter input damping, tank aiming and multiple crash paths received launch changes.

  • DLSS Frame Generation can be disabled without restarting according to the changelog. This is a control change, not a measured FPS recommendation.
