FAQ

Is Early Access still the next milestone?
No. Steam Early Access launched September 10. The roadmap now separates released fixes from scheduled updates and longer-term plans.
Has Season 2 launched?
The reviewed September 12 notice says Season 2 content is being worked on. It does not announce a Season 2 launch.
Is the full metagame already available?
The reviewed post-launch statement still discusses bringing the meta into the game. Persistent match-to-match cash does not prove every planned metagame system has shipped.

Roadmap status tracker

Status checked September 14, 2026. Announced work is not a released feature.

  • Steam Early Access — Completed (September 10): Steam and Team17 confirm availability. Launch is a completed milestone.

  • Launch Stability Hotfix #1 — Completed (September 10, 20:20 UTC): The official client update targeted join failures, kicks and extended queues.

  • Patch 0.11 server browser — Planned (Maintenance scheduled September 14, 08:00 UTC): Announcement verified; a completion notice was not independently verified in this review.

  • Community-server quality of life — In development (No published date): Favourites, tiered priority queues, message of the day, warmup and seeding/team controls are listed as upcoming.

  • Season 2 — In development (No published date in the reviewed update): BULKHEAD says short-term reactive fixes do not affect its Season 2 content work. This does not mean Season 2 has launched.

  • Console release — Planned (2028): The September 10 official trailer and Steam announcement give a console window, not an exact day or a crossplay commitment.

  • Complete metagame and version 1.0 — Planned (No fixed date): The September 12 economy statement still discusses bringing the meta into the game. Do not treat existing persistent cash as proof of the complete future system.

  • More maps, weapons and vehicles — Planned (No dated delivery schedule): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. The Steam Early Access disclosure names broader content categories, while official video messaging warns against expecting monthly content drops.

  • Seasonal metagame — In development (During Early Access): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. The official Early Access & Beyond briefing says the foundations exist but the complete metagame will not be ready on day one.

  • Cash reset and Gold Bar conversion — Planned (Future seasonal structure): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. The official roadmap video describes optional Cash-to-Gold exchange, seasonal Cash and XP resets, and automatic conversion of remaining Cash into Gold Bars.

  • Player skills, challenges, Black Market and Vault — Planned (No individual feature dates): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. These systems are described in BULKHEAD’s official roadmap video as planned account-level progression features.

  • Community-server Hardcore Mode — Planned (No launch date published): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. Addressing Feedback describes a reduced-HUD community preset and persistent Cash and XP on servers that stay within approved economy limits.

  • Official Linux / Proton compatibility — In development (No delivery date; not committed for launch): Earlier developer plan; not newly confirmed as shipped in the September 10–14 review. The September 4 developer post calls Proton compatibility a goal but explicitly says Linux support cannot be promised for September 10.

Read status before reading dates

Released means the source explicitly describes availability. Announced means a dated update is planned, not that this site has confirmed its deployment. In development means work is acknowledged without a firm delivery date. Long-term plans are not promises that those systems exist in the current game.

Season 2 is development work, not the current stage

The September 12 notice says reactive quality-of-life fixes do not affect Season 2 content work. It does not announce a Season 2 launch date, content-complete roster or a new metagame release. The public game is in Early Access.

Earlier plans remain version-labelled

Earlier developer briefings discussed the complete metagame, gold-related systems, Black Market and Vault concepts, future vehicles and terrain. Retain these as historical plans unless a newer source confirms a change. Neither a trailer shot nor a test-build catalogue proves a feature is currently available.

How the roadmap affects your next match

  • Use patch notes to decide whether a fix is released or only announced.

  • Use the server guide for the browser transition and temporary community bonus.

  • Check the Roles, Cash, Vehicles and Building guides for the Season 1 baseline instead of relying on beta prices.

  • Keep console planning separate from today’s Steam access.
